The German IGR Institute for Health and Ergonomics have thoroughly examined this product to award the IGR quality seal. The IGR says about this product: "Footrests are used when the feet do not fully touch the floor when sitting at the workstation. This is usually the case if the chair is too high or cannot be adjusted lower. This can lead to pressure points on the underside of the thighs due to the front edge of the seat, which in the long term means a lack of blood circulation in the legs and feet. The footrest ensures the correct angle of the upper and lower leg (90 - 100° is recommended) and therefore makes sitting less tiring. The mobility of the Leitz footrest also allows you to keep your feet and legs moving, which exercises the muscles and promotes blood circulation."
